Isla el Tigre

Tiger Island is a small island, about a mile in diameter, which is located on the Gulf of Fonseca and belongs to the municipality of Amapala in the department of Valle. Tiger Island is sitting on an extinct volcano which has an elevation exceeding 780 meters has. The 2001 census says that this island has 2,480 inhabitants but I think today this figure is much higher.
This island is like 30 minutes from Coyolito is a fishing community and is located between San Lorenzo and Jícaro Galán. Tiger Island is small and that is why no offers tourists everything the rest of the Honduran territory offers but it is a nice place with lots of history and has colonial structures.
