La Tigra National Park

La Tigra National Park is a park that is 25 miles north of the capital Tegucigalpa Honduras. This park measures 238.21 square kilometers and was the first park in Honduras. This was stabilized on January 1980.
The park La Tigra "is bordered by five municipalities are: Central District, San Juan de Flores, Santa Lucia and Valle de Angeles Talanga" and is divided into two zones: the core zone and buffer zone.

There are four different entrances to this park but there are two that are frequently used and these are: the road to Hatillo and the road to the Valle de Angeles, San Johnny and Cantarranas.

The La Estrella hill that is part of this park is 2.245 meters above the sea and La Peña de Andino hill with 2.290 meters above the sea.
